This survey will be used in conjunction with plans for the Special Exhibition of the ASEAN Culture House (ACH), which will be held in Busan from September 2 through November 19, 2017, with the title “Celebrating the Beauty of Marriage: ASEAN seen through Wedding Traditions and Cultures.”

The survey is targeted at people from ASEAN member states and consists of 20 questions about their perceptions and experiences of wedding ceremonies in ASEAN countries. The results will be used for the design of the Special exhibition. We sincerely appreciate your time and participation in this survey.


Target group:  Koreans and People from the 10 ASEAN member states, incl. ASEAN residents living in Korea
(Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam)Korean

Number of participants: 10 from each ASEAN member state

Purpose: Design of special ACH exhibition based  on survey responses from Koreans and people from the 10 ASEAN member states

Method: Online survey (Google)

Survey period: ~ August 5, 2017

Please note:
1. Respondents who are married are encouraged to submit answers based on their own wedding experiences. Respondents who are not married are encouraged to submit answers based on their perceptions and experiences of weddings of their family members (parents, siblings, etc.). Respondents may add any general thoughts they may have and skip any questions they find difficult to answer.

2. Survey responses are collected in accordance with Article 33 (Protection of Secrets) of the Korean Statistics Act and will be used for the “Celebrating the Beauty of Marriage” exhibition only. Any and all confidential information of individuals that become known in the course of this survey shall be protected.

3. All data will be used only for the abovementioned exhibition only and discarded once the exhibition ends.
